PET HEALTH
Vaccinations:
Pets boarding at Sornum House must be able to provide
evidence of current annual vaccinations. Dogs will also need the
kennel cough vaccine, normally administered at least two weeks before
their arrival at Sornum House. If you are in any doubt, please give us
a call to discuss this before booking.
Medicines and
Special Diets:
We will administer
prescribed medicines, foods or supplements at no extra cost. These
should be clearly labelled and details given to us, in writing,
upon arrival. Insulin injections can also be administered but
please note that an additional charge will be applied per
injection.
Unexpected Illness:
If your pet should
fall ill unexpectedly during their stay with us, we will consult
the vet as required. Unless the illness is related to a
pre-existing condition, the cost will normally be covered by our
Pet Plan
insurance and, where it is feasible, we will obviously keep you
informed.
Insurance and
Assurance:
We are fully
insured as a boarding facility with Pet Plan and annually
inspected and licensed by Highland Council as a boarding kennels
and cattery.
Older Pets:
We are happy to board older
pets or those that are ill. However we would appreciate your
guidance, in advance of the boarding period, on what action you
would like us to take on your behalf if the unimaginable happens
and they sadly pass away during their stay and we are unable to
contact you. We are sad to have to think of this but as animal
owners ourselves, we know that we would always want the best for
our pets in similar circumstances and would not leave this kind of
thing to chance.
